The State of Illinois requires all students in kindergarten, second, and sixth grade have a dental examination. The completed proof of examination OR waiver  must be turned into the school nurse by May 15 of the current school year. A completed exam form is acceptable if the exam was completed within 18 months prior to the May 15 deadline. Strategic Planning

Dear East Moline Families:

Recently our Board of Education authorized a committee of community-minded individuals to undertake the process of creating a long-range strategic plan. The committee of district personnel and community leaders started this process back in April and finished their work in early September. We presented a three-year comprehensive plan to our Board of Education on September 26th and they voted unanimously to adopt the plan and authorize the administration to begin executing the plan.

This will be a living, breathing plan that we will continue toadapt in future years. We think it is extremely important that all of our families have access to what we are working toward and that is why we are putting the entire plan on our website. You can download a copy of the plan from the front page of our website.  Copies have also been placed in each of our school offices and the Administration Center for any family or community member requesting a copy. Click here to download that plan.

Yours for kids,

Kristin Humphries
Superintendent
