GUEST TEACHER APPLICATION INFORMATION

Guest Teachers who have already applied for, and registered their Illinois license through the Illinois State Board of Education must complete a fingerprint-based criminal history inquiry, to their own expense, at the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education.  A certified copy of the results will be returned to the Guest Teacher.  The Regional Office of Education is located at 3430 Avenue of the Cities in Moline.

When you bring your results to the district office, we will ask you if you have completed our online application for substitute teaching, and also ask you to complete and return additional employment forms.  If you would prefer to complete the employment forms in advance, they are available for download below.

Please note that the above information is for Guest Teachers only.  Guest Nurses and paraprofessionals who are not planning to also work as a teacher, should come to the district office for a criminal history authorization form.

All applicable Illinois licenses must be registered through the Educator Licensure Information System prior to visiting the Rock Island Regional Office of Education.

Assistance with the Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) is available from the Illinois State Board of Education: http://www.isbe.state.il.us/certification/html/webinar_archive.htm#elis130614a
