Procedures

Applicants for classified staff positions are encouraged to use our online system as well, or may obtain a paper application by contacting our district office. Our district office is located at 3555 19th St, East Moline.

The East Moline Public Library allows patrons to use library computers and internet services free of charge. A limited number of computers are available on the first floor, and there is a computer lab available. Please contact the library at 755-9614 for more information or reservations.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN MAKING APPLICATION IN DISTRICT #37:

PLEASE DO NOT contact building administrators (via email, phone, or personal visits) regarding available staff positions, unless requested to do so by the administrator.

 All application materials received in the district office will be attached to your online application.  PLEASE DO NOT send resumes, letters of recommendation, credential files, letters of interest, etc. to our district schools. 

To be eligible to apply for “Internal” positions in the district, you must be a member of the collective bargaining unit covering the vacant position.  All other applications will be disregarded.

To be eligible for placement on the East Moline District #37 Substitute list, each of the following items must be on file in the Superintendent's Office:

Federal Form W-4
Illinois Form W-4 (Illinois Residents Only)
Iowa Form W-4 (Iowa Residents Only)
Department of Children and Family Services Mandated Reporter Form
Teachers' Retirement System Enrollment Form
Employment Eligibility Form (along with acceptable form(s) of identification as specified in the instructions on the form)
Form SSA 1945
Results from a Tuberculin Test, taken within the past 90 days
Illinois Teaching Certificate (must be registered in Rock Island County)
Physical Examination
 

Applicants must present their Social Security Card. ( Please note that employment records will reflect the name as it appears on the card.)

All substitutes must initiate a fingerprint-based criminal history investigation through the Regional Office of Education. When all other employment information has been received, a district official will authorize the criminal history investigation. The Regional Office of Education is located at 3430 Avenue of the Cities in Moline. Employees must present a photo ID at the time of fingerprinting. Fingerprinting is done Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
