Guest Teachers who have already applied for, and registered their Illinois license through the Illinois State Board of Education must complete a fingerprint-based criminal history inquiry, to their own expense, at the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education. A certified copy of the results will be returned to the Guest Teacher. The Regional Office of Education is located at 3430 Avenue of the Cities in Moline.

When you bring your results to the district office, we will ask you if you have completed our online application for guest teaching, and also provide you with payroll and employment forms. Login information on our guest worker placement system, Aesop, will also be given to you at this time.

All applicable Illinois licenses must be registered through the Educator Licensure Information System prior to visiting the Rock Island Regional Office of Education.

Assistance with the Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) is available from the Illinois State Board of Education:

Those interested in working as a guest paraprofessional, non-instructional aide, office secretary, playground aide, crossing guard, bus driver, bus monitor, food service worker, or custodian should also apply online. Department supervisors review applications and contact individuals for interviews when needed. More information may be obtained by calling the Human Resources Office at 792-2887 ext. 8.

The 2018-2019 Guest Worker Newsletter is available here. We ask that all current and potential guest workers take a moment to review this information.
