The East Moline School District 37 Board of Education has voted unanimously to approve the appointment of Stephanie Christensen as the new principal of Hillcrest Elementary School in East Moline, IL. Stephanie is currently the administrative intern at Hillcrest and previously taught at both Glenview Middle School and Bowlesburg Elementary in the East Moline School District.

“Hillcrest is a wonderful school where families and teachers understand the importance of a high quality education. We have a great team of teachers at Hillcrest that care very deeply about their students. As an instructional leader, my main focus is to provide a rigorous curriculum for all students, which will give them the tools to collaborate with each other while thinking creatively and critically,” said Mrs. Christensen.
Stephanie is originally from Monmouth, Illinois. She graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2010, a Master of Science in Reading in 2015, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership in 2019.
