Staff Health and Safety

In East Moline School District #37, we are uncompromising when it comes to our commitment to the safety and health of our employees. We strive to continually improve our processes and promote a safe working environment for staff, while providing a safe and nurturing environment for students.

Keeping employees informed about current safety issues, rules, and regulations is essential to this effort. The area of this website, Safety Training Online provides this information to our staff.
Assuring timely and thorough reporting and investigation of all work-related incidents, is also a function of this area. Injured employees must immediately notify their supervisor, and report an injury via Staff Accident Management in Public School Works. The information collected will initiate the work incident/injury report, identify the causal factors contributing to the incident or injury, and initiate the appropriate corrective action.

Please note that paper incident reports will no longer be accepted in the Human Resources Office to report an injury. If an employee is injured and unable to complete the online incident report in a timely manner, the supervisor or designee may assist. The supervisor or designee will complete the report online, and print a copy for the employee’s verification and signature. When assistance is required, it is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that a signed a copy of the completed report, verifying accuracy of the information provided is immediately sent to the Human Resources Office.

Please direct any questions relating to school safety training or incident/accident reporting to the Human Resources Department at 792-2887 ext. 8.
