Superintendent's Office

Welcome!

It is with great pride that I welcome students, parents, and staff for the 2019-2020 school year. It is an honor and privilege to serve as Superintendent of the East Moline School District. We look forward to continuing our partnership in providing student-centered learning experiences for every child in District 37. Our work centers on the development of life-long learners equipped to navigate a dynamic world.

District 37 continues to move in exciting new directions with innovative learning, rigorous curriculum and instructional practices, and building collective efficacy among our students and employees. We believe that we do better together in the East Moline School District. A district-wide committee came together last year to research and recommend a move to a 1:1 learning environment for our students starting this August. We believe the future of education is centered upon empowering our students and teachers by providing equitable opportunities utilizing technology to create pathways to navigate tomorrow's world. We continue to offer and expand innovative programs to ensure our students have real-world opportunities to build upon the rigorous instruction our teachers provide. This year, we will strive for even greater heights in finding innovative ways to utilize the insight and expertise from our students, families and staff to drive improvement across the entire district. By improving the collective efficacy throughout District 37, we know that we can empower our stakeholders to accomplish great things for and with our students.

Our East Moline School District community is called upon to create academic and social-emotional experiences designed to prepare each child for an ever-changing global workforce. The school and parent partnership are essential in this preparation. Encouragement and support for your child’s educational journey is paramount to achieving student success. Our district has a solid foundation and will continue toward our vision of ever-increasing educational excellence. I am confident that by working together, we will inspire each other, build support, and continue to cultivate positive learning experiences for all children in our schools.

I wish all district employees, families, and the amazing students that are entrusted to our schools a successful year of learning ahead. Together, we do better!
