EMSD has launched a new AI-powered text messaging system to make attendance tracking and communication easier for our families.

Families will receive automated text messages from the phone number listed below whenever their child is marked absent. Through this line, parents can:

• Reply directly in their preferred language to confirm or explain an absence.

• Send photos of doctor’s notes or parent notes directly via text.

• Proactively text the number to report an upcoming absence.

• Ask questions about their child's attendance record.

Messages are processed by an AI attendance assistant—which automatically translates incoming and outgoing messages—and all notes, reasons, and photos are routed directly to our attendance team and integrated into the student's record.

Families are asked to only use the text message system to report absences. Please do not call the school or email your student's teacher. Reporting directly through this number ensures the information immediately reaches our attendance team and updates the official student record.
