Parent Traffic & Safety Guide: Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures
Keeping our students, families, and staff safe is our top priority. We are updating our student drop-off and pick-up procedures to make school arrival and dismissal safer and faster for your family. We recently worked with engineering specialists to study our school procedures. In partnership with them, we are creating a new traffic plan for our school. This new plan will help:
Keep students safe during busy school hours
Speed up traffic so you spend less time waiting in line
Reduce traffic congestion in our surrounding neighborhoods
To keep our students safe and speed up traffic flow, all parent car drop-offs and pick-ups are moving to the back of the buildings.
Arrival & Dismissal Timelines
Drop-off Begins: 7:20am (Students are Tardy at 7:50am)
Dismissal Time: 2:25pm
Designated Car Loading Zone: Back of building
Campus Traffic Guidelines
1. SINGLE DIRECTION OF FLOW
To keep everyone safe, all cars must adhere to the single entry and exit points outlined below.
One-Way Traffic Route:
ENTER: 30th Avenue / 9th Street entrance (East side of Ridgewood).
EXIT: 7th Street by 33rd Avenue (Southwest side of Glenview).
Left or Right Turn on to 7th Street
2. LOADING ZONE SAFETY
There will be no family members exiting their vehicles to come inside from the drop-off lines.
Pull completely forward into the Loading Zone before letting students exit via the passenger-side doors. Please look for posted loading zone signage before letting your student exit the vehicle.
Multiple cars can unload students while in the loading zone.
After unloading students, please pull into the left-hand lane and exit the parking lot.
Drivers must remain in their vehicles at all times while in the drop-off line.
3. DESIGNATED PARKING COMPLIANCE:
If you need to leave your vehicle, park in the Visitor parking at the South End of Glenview — NOT IN THE DROP-OFF LANE.
Late Arrivals: Park in the front lot and drop your student off at the GMS Main Office entrance.
Glenview Rear Doors Lock at 7:50am
Late Pick-Up: After 2:45pm, all remaining Glenview students will be escorted to the GMS Main Office for pick-up there.
Visitors / Parking: If you need to come inside the building, do not stop in the drop-off line. Please park in the designated areas
