-The 7th grade football team earned a hard fought victory last night over Washington 18-12. Jaxon Rowlands started the scoring off with a 60 yard TD catch, Zaiden Bell and Leshawn Stbblefield added rushing Touchdowns. The defense led by Lukas Porter, JT Childs, and Jordan Chedister came up with a huge stop to seal the victory!

-The 8th grade girl's Volleyball team won in three sets last night against the Geneseo Maple Leafs. Trynity Davis led the Lady Gators with 9 aces, 12 digs, 4 Blocks, and 2 kills. Melia Kuffler contributed 8 assists, 5 aces, 2 digs, and 1 block. Ange La was also a defensive force with 6 digs and 2 kills, Kierson Griffith had 2 digs, 2 kills, and 1 ace, Payton Mallum had 2 kills and Marissa Loter had 2 digs. The Lady Gators travel to Edison tonight hoping to continue their winning streak.
-The deadline to sign up for the UTHS cheer clinic is this Friday October 4. Stop by the front office for a form. This night is for K-8 students.

9-26-24 Announcements
-The Cross Country Team had one of the best races of the season last night at Sunset Marina. Our Top 7 girls won first place overall, bringing home another trophy. Tilly Brooks was the top runner, followed by Chloe Glaub, Mazdilifa Ali, Makela Anoumou, Zahra Fakhri, Maci Wright, and Penelope Escobar.
Our Top 7 boys just missed out on bringing home a trophy, taking 3rd place in a very competitive boys race. Top runners for the gators were Connor Adair, Abouzar Fakhri, Jax Tysma, Wisdom Dogbe, Zakaria El-Majdoubi, Mazin Abdelbanat, and David Cobos.
In the Open races, we took 1st place for both the boys and girls. Top Runners for the girls were Amira Elnimari, Bayan Ahmed, Jessica Houedou, Amal Elmajdoubi, Mila Cross, and Kantcho Sylla. Top Runners for the boys were Mahir Abdeleanat, Benjamin Nees, Aristeo Teneyuque, Zukhairu Garba, and Kilian Snelling.
The gators have conference next week and will look to add to their historical season. Keep up the great work!
-Yesterday was a historic day for Glenview Tennis. We were facing Wilson Middle School. Victoria Reid (8th Grade student) became the first ever Tennis player to win a Singles Match for the school. She dominated her opponent 6 games to 4.
-Liana Garcia (7th Grade) and Ruth Kpatcha (8th Grade) also made history by becoming the first first team to win a doubles match for the school. They dominated their opponent 6 games to 1.
In Singles:
Hana LImani (7th Grade) won her match 7 games to 6. Tiebreak 7 to 1
Zoey Bull (8th Grade) won her match 7 games to 5.
In doubles Extra:
Mallory Dawson and Abigail Gonzalez won their matches 4 games to 1
Cataleya Noriega and Daelyn Minor won their matches 5 games to 3.

They displayed the right attitude on the football field and will continue to move in the right direction. Shoutout to David Omari for making ridiculous plays all night long. Shoutout to Leshawn Stubblefield for his touchdown, and shoutout to Lucas Johnson for making big plays. Gators look to bounce back next week.

-The 8th Grade Volleyball Team competed for the win on the road at Wilson last night. They won in three sets and went to the wire in each one. Melia Kuffler commanded the offense with 10 assists, 2 digs, and 1 kill. Kalia Jackson was on fire with 4 kills, Ange La had 3 kills and 6 digs, Marissa Loter had 4 digs, 1 ace, and an assist. Trynity Davis was a Monster in the Middle with 2 Huge Blocks, 3 aces, 3 kills, and 3 digs. Gabby Quick, Kayla Roman, and Makayla Soglohun combined with 4 aces for the night which were huge in the end. Way to go girls, Coach Aceviz is extremely proud of you all!
-Show your support on Thursday, September 26 at the Gator Swamp wearing your Camouflage gear when the Lady Gators take on Edison at 4pm.

A special shoutout to Abouzar Fakhri for securing 2nd place in his age division and Zarah Fakhri for finishing 3rd in hers!

-Congratulations to the 8th grade football team winning 44 to 8. Shoutout to Roan Malone for putting up 5 total touchdowns. Shoutout to DaVarrion Pugh Vesey for dominating both sides of the trenches with big hits all night. Shoutout to Dereon McDaniel for his relentless effort blocking, on the defensive side of the ball, and his receiving touchdown.
-One By One invites all members to our first meeting of the school year. Stop by after school in the library to learn about an exciting new school year, meet new friends, enjoy pizza, and win prizes!
