8-16-22 Announcements
-Hey 6th graders, Do you want to be in the Glenview Band? It is not too late to join. Talk to Mr. Brown or Mrs. Hill in the band room to begin your musical career.
-6th-8th grade after school Mariachi will be starting next week, on August 22nd! We have SO many fun events planned for this year so come join us!
*The intermediate group (6-8th students who are new to Mariachi or who want to play easier music) will be on Monday and Wednesdays, in Mrs. Hill's room #296 from 2:30-4:00pm.
*The advanced group (6-8th students who will play difficult music and have several performances) will rehearse on Tuesday and Thursdays, in room #296 from 2:30-4pm.
*We will have snacks and the activities bus will take you home afterwards if needed.
-There will be 7th and 8th grade volleyball tryouts today and Wednesday from 2:30 to 4pm. Athletes should wear appropriate shoes. Please meet in the South Gym.
-Any 6th thru 8th grade student interested in participating in cross country should report to the cafeteria on Thursday after school. There will be an informational meeting and a short practice. Practice will end at 4pm. There will be an activity bus at 4:15 to take students home if they need a ride.
-Students interested in reading announcements should email Miss Talia this week.

Hello Glenview parents!
We’re so excited for the first day of school tomorrow. A few last minute reminders:
-Breakfast starts at 7:20. This is the earliest time that students may be dropped off at school. If you are dropping your child off, please do not allow them to exit your car on the street.
-We will dismiss at 1:25 tomorrow, one hour early.
-Please talk with your student to be sure they know if they are a bus rider, car rider or walker for getting home.
-Please also remind your student that phones must remain off and in their lockers throughout the school day, from the time they enter the building until the last bell.

Free Parenting Workshop at the East Moline Library. Parents can sign up by stopping into the library or calling 309-755-9614.
The first day of Glenview football practice will be Aug 11 right after school with the early dismissal. Practice will end at 4pm. Activity bus will be available.
