We are thankful for the best PTO! Our PTO bought each of our staff members a coffee to start our morning on Tuesday. The PTO also funded the beautiful balloons in our hallways. Thank you, Hillcrest PTO!!

EMSD elementary teachers were treated to a warm welcome from administration staff and an inspiring keynote from Kim Bearden, an award-winning educator and co-founder of the Ron Clark Academy. Kim shared strategies to motivate, engage, and inspire students and to reignite teachers' passion for teaching.

Tonight the Hillcrest Staff and their families were invited to The Last Picture House for a back to school kick off. Together, we watched the movie Encanto. Our Hornets will be carrying out this theme throughout the year. We all have a gift, and it’s important to be our authentic selves. We get to bring our individual gifts together to create a school family- the best school family! 💛 🐝 💚 This night would not have been possible without the sponsorship of IHMCV. Thank you for paying the rental fee for The Last Picture so that our families could together to celebrate the beginning of the school year.
Teachers don't stop working or learning -- even in the summer! Building leadership teams were able to attend the Get Your Teach On conference this summer. This four-day conference was packed full of sessions that provided high-impact, research-based, best instructional practices presented with high-level student engagement strategies that teachers and administrators can implement on the first day! In addition, the conference provided engaging keynote speakers who intended to rekindle an educator's love for teaching. It was a fabulous four days of learning for all!
