All of the East Moline elementary schools will be celebrating Picture Book Month by having a Storybook Character Day on Friday, November 17th!
Think of a character from a storybook you have read and loved! Then, come to school on Friday, November 17th dressed as this character. If you have a book the character is in, bring it to share with your class. Be creative and have fun coming up with a character to become! Make sure your attire and any props are school-appropriate!

The Pisman Way Apparel Fundraiser Last year our beloved friend, Jill Pisman, A 3rd Grade teacher at Wells passed away unexpectedly. As a way to remember her, the Wells staff has created an annual Pisman Award, awarded to students who display love, kindness, and respect (Ms. Pisman’s motto). We are also fundraising for a bench to have outside of Wells in Ms. Pisman’s honor. The proceeds from the apparel will go to the purchase of the bench. The online apparel store will be open until Thursday, November 10th. Order pick up date will be communicated out, and the location of pick up will be Wells Elementary School. https://crownwebstores.com/pisman_way/shop/home

REMINDER: Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Thursday evening and Friday morning. Please reach out to your student's teacher if you have not scheduled a time for a conference.

Mr. Grooms has been recognized by the RIROE as the employee of the month for Wells Elementary. Mr. Grooms was nominated for being a leader on the playground and in the cafeteria. He is always willing to help out and problem-solve with our student's best interests in mind. We appreciate Mr. Grooms for all he does for our Wells School Family!
