Please report to Room 113 after the dismissal bell. -The Glenview 7th grade volleyball team won last night against Washington. Addy VanWinkle brought it with her killer serves, and the back row brought their A game for digs. Great Job ladies! The next volleyball game is next Wednesday at home against Seton. -8th grade girls Volleyball competed against a tough-matched Washington team. They went 1-3 for the night in their first game of the season. Melia Kuffler was a true leader on the court and Ange La was a force with her serves and digs. Come support their first home game at the Gator Swamp on Wednesday, September 4th vs Seton, the theme is "JUNGLE”. -Registration forms are now available in the main office for enrichment clubs. This semester we have approximately 10 clubs to offer and hope to offer more after winter break! -Attention all fall sport athletes: today is the last day to sell discount tickets. Turn in money and extra cards to your coach at practice tomorrow. 8-29-24 Announcements -8th Grade football had a tough loss last night in Galesburg on a tight game with a lot of positives going forward. Jordan Campbell was electric off the edge on defense, causing trouble all night. Alejandro Vargas helped set the tone in the trenches and with his vocal leadership. Travis Kinkead had some nice runs and an interception. The City of East Moline is hosting the third public meeting for the Greater Downtown East Moline Revitalization Project. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss proposed improvements for 12th Avenue as well as branding for the area. Community involvement is a critical part of this project, and all residents are welcome to attend, share feedback, and ask questions. Letter from UTHS Athletic Director - Welcome to another year of high school sports and activities. As we start our fall season tomorrow at the Panther Pre-view, please share with your elementary and junior high students the mandatory rules for attendance. The four main rules are: 1. No elementary or junior high student can attend UTHS athletic events, without a parent or guardian in attendance with them. 2. Bookbags are not allowed. 3. Students must remain in their seats during the game. Students that are roaming or running around, will be asked to leave. If they are with a parent, the parent will also be asked to leave. 4. Profanity and horseplay will not be tolerated. Thanks for all of your support.
