-7th grade volleyball kept their undefeated streak going with a nail biting game against Washington last night. The team fought hard for the win and played a great game. Great job ladies!
-8th Grade Students interested in attending the DC Trip should attend the next meeting on September 26 in the library at 6:30. If you attended the first meeting, you do not have to attend this one.
-Gator Guild club will be having their first trivia night on Friday September 27 from 7pm to 10pm at Glenview. Get a team of 8 together for $10 per person! Ask Miss Woj or Mrs. McElroy for any questions. We hope to see you there!

-Congratulations to the 8th grade football team winning 44 to 8. Shoutout to Roan Malone for putting up 5 total touchdowns. Shoutout to DaVarrion Pugh Vesey for dominating both sides of the trenches with big hits all night. Shoutout to Dereon McDaniel for his relentless effort blocking, on the defensive side of the ball, and his receiving touchdown.
-One By One invites all members to our first meeting of the school year. Stop by after school in the library to learn about an exciting new school year, meet new friends, enjoy pizza, and win prizes! Members will need to bring a charged Chromebook to the meeting. Email Mrs. Mojica or Mrs. Newton if you have any questions.

-7TH GRADE FOOTBALL earned their first win last night over edison. Leshawn Stubblefield and Chase Lemmon both had touchdowns and the whole defense played lights out all game forcing 2 turnovers and giving up zero points.

-Come out and support our 7th and 8th grade volleyball team tomorrow when they take on Washington at home. The theme for the game is "beach". 7th grade game starts at 4, and the 8th grade game begins right after. Admission is $1 per student. Come fill up the swamp student section and cheer on our teams!

-The Cross Country Team had another great showing last night at the Pioneer Pacers Invite at Camden Park. Our Top 7 girls won first place overall in a field that consisted of 12 teams. Those who contributed were Tilly Brooks-1st place, Chloe Glaub-7th place, Makela Anoumou, Maci Wright, Zahra Fakhri, Kyler Elliot, and Penelope Escobar.
Our Top 7 boys took 3rd place overall and the top runners for Glenview were: Wisdom Dogbe-8th place, Connor Adair-10th place, Abouzar Fakhri, Jax Tysma, Mazin Abdelbanat, David Cobos, and Mahir Abdelbanat.
In the Open Races, Glenview won first place in both the boys and girls races. Top runners in the boys race were: Aristeo Teneyuque-1st place, Noah Ryan-9th place, Killian Snelling, Aiden Schofield, Zukhairu Garba, and Ben Nees. Top runners in the girls race were: Mozdalifa Ali-1st place, Amal Elmajdoubi-2nd place, Byan Ahmed-4th place, Mila Cross-6th place, Kantcho Sylla, and Gabriella Azombako.
Great job Gators, Keep up the good work!

-The Cross Country Team had another great showing last night at the Glenview Invitational at Jacobs Park, taking 2nd place overall and winning 1st place in both the 6th grade boys and 7th grade girls. Athletes who received medals last night included:
Abouzar Fakhri, Mazin Abdelbanat, Maci Wright, Penelope Escobar, Amal El Majdoubi, Amira Elnimari, Tilly Brooks, Makela Anoumou, Zakaria El-majdoubi, Wisdom Dogbe, Connor Adair, Chloe Glaub, Zahra Fakhri, and Mozdalifa Ali.
The team is having a historic season so far, keep up the great work gators.

-The 7th grade volleyball team kept their winning streak going last night with another win against Jordan. Alli Darras had an awesome 14 run serve in the first game to push us towards the win, and our middle hitters Sloane Awalt and Cora Taylor had some great saves up on the net. Good job ladies! Join us for our next game this Thursday at Home against John Deere. The theme for the game is neon. Help light up the student section and cheer on our girls!
-Students who applied to be a part of the One By One program are asked to check their email for important information on the first meeting.
-The Latinx Workshop meeting scheduled for after school today has been postponed. This means there is still time for 7th and 8th graders to apply!! We provide a positive circle of hermanas who take on projects to help our community while centering the Latina voice, culture, and history. Applications may be picked up in the office or find the electronic application in this month's Gator Gazette. Email Mrs. Mojica for more information.

Hola! You are invited to hear El Mariachi de Glenview (Advanced Mariachi, 6-8th graders), El Mariachi Intermedio de Glenview (Intermediate Mariachi, 6-8th graders) AND some 7/8th grade choir members perform this Sunday, September 15th!
• 12 pm - We will walk in the Mexican Independence Day Parade
• 2 pm - National Anthem performed by the choir (Runner's Park)

-Join us tonight at Soule Bowl at 5 PM for an exciting football game! Admission is FREE! Come out and support our talented 7th and 8th grade football teams. Let's cheer them on to victory vs the Hilltoppers.

-Today will be the last day of Tennis Tryouts. Please take Bus 49 after the dismissal bell.
-Bonding with Bracelets starts this Tuesday, August 10th in room #159.
