Countdown to the last day of school!!

Attention 8th grade parents with students interested in playing football at UT, this meeting is for you.


Dear Families,
This year in order to update and refresh student devices, we will be collecting Chromebooks from ALL students currently enrolled at Glenview Middle School.
We will begin collection on Monday, May 19th and will be collecting the device, charger and stylus during the school day. These devices will be cleaned, refreshed, repaired and stored for next year. Please be sure to send the device and any accessories (charger, stylus) to school starting the week of May 19th. Collection dates are as follows:
5th Grade: May 19th
6th Grade: May 20th
7th Grade: May 21st
8th Grade: May 22nd
If your student is attending any of the programming hosted by EMSD over the summer, each program will have a set of devices that students will use during that program. If your student will not be in the district next year, please have him or her let the technician know during the check-in process.

5-2-25 Announcements
-On Tuesday May 29th, David Cobos in 8th Grade became the first boy to win a singles match for the Glenview Boys Tennis Team. David dominated his opponent 6 games to 0.
Next Week, the tennis team will have 3 meets. On May 6, Glenview will face Rock Island/Seton/Jordan at the UT courts. On May 7, Glenview will have an away meet at Wilson. On May 8, Glenview will face John Deere at the UT courts.
-Today is Lunch Hero today! Make sure to thank the cafeteria workers today when you see them!
-Monday’s theme for ABC Countdown is Jersey Day!!!

The tennis match at Wilson tonight has been cancelled. Boys tennis should meet in Mr. St Fleur's room after school.

5-1-25 Announcements
-Great job to our 7th and 8th grade boys track teams on a great meet last night. Our 8th grade boys team finished 2nd overall.
Donald Gamon sprinted to an impressive 59 seconds in the 400-meter dash his season PR
Jordan Campbell leaped his way to a fantastic 2nd place in the long jump.
Ephraim Galley secured 2nd place in the 7th grade 100-meter dash.
Winner Ekembe also shined in the 8th grade 100-meter dash, finishing strong in 2nd place.
2nd place 7th grade 4x100 meter relay team of:

Nathaniel Koueviakoe
Ephraim Galley
Bentley Gillies
High jump champion, Dereon McDaniel.
Winner Ekembe champion in the 200-meter dash.
David Omari jumped an outstanding 18 feet 2 inches to become the champion in the long jump.
Roan Malone dominated the field, taking home the championship titles in both shot put and discus.
Congratulations to all our athletes for their hard work and dedication. We are so proud of you! Let’s keep this momentum going into the conference meet.

4-25-25 Announcements
-Sunday is the last day to reserve a spot for our last meeting of the school year. Join us as we celebrate our 8th graders as they move onto high school! The RSVP is posted in the group's Google Classroom.
-Any students interested in doing the multicultural fashion show should meet after school today in the cafeteria.
-Join us tomorrow Saturday, April 26 from 11am-2pm for our 4th Annual Multicultural Family Unity Day. The event will be held in the downstairs gym and cafeteria. This is a free family event with food and door prizes. Come and enjoy great performances, hear the sounds of our Mariachi Band, and enjoy our grand finale, our student and staff fashion show.
-Board together club will not meet the rest of the year. We hope that everyone who signed up this year will sign up next year.
-Attention 8th graders! If you’re interested in playing football at UT, stop by the front office to pick up a camp calendar and the necessary forms.
-To all Fifth through 7th grade students: If you want to participate in UT’s summer football camp, be sure to grab a flyer from the front office!
