5-10-22 Announcements
-Attention Latinx Workshop members: Your testimonio is due to Mrs. Mojica by tomorrow. It may be shared electronically or handed to her. This is required for Saturday's visit to Argrow's House and end of program lunch.
-Hey One By One! Join us tomorrow from 2:30-4:00 in the library as we wrap up our year together. Members who will attend must respond to the Google form posted in the group's Google Classroom no later than 2:30 today.
-Soccer Club will meet today after school. Please report to the field. Soccer players who want to take part in the exhibition game at the TBK Sports Center (BetPlex) are reminded to get a permission slip from Mr. Saint Fleur in Room 238 or at Student Services to be returned no later than tomorrow (Wednesday).
-Mariachi is canceled today.

The East Moline Library has a great opportunity for young girls in middle school. They have partnered with an organization called SASS - Surviving Assault Standing Strong - which teaches young girls in middle school to recognize the signs of unhealthy relationships and the dangers hidden in social media, as well as mental and physical self defense. The cost is $15 for the 2 hour session but the fee can be waived or reduced if needed so that everyone can have the chance to attend that wants to. UTHS Girls Basketball Open Gym tonight, Monday 5/9/22, is cancelled. The next Open Gym will be this Wednesday 5/11/22 @ 6:30-8pm.

-The final ping pong night is tonight. This is an extra night due to weak attendance last Monday. Have your rides ready at 4pm.
-Latinx Workshop members are reminded to share their testimonios with Mrs. Mojica no later than Wednesday. The testimonio is required for Saturday's field trip and lunch. Speak with Mrs. Mojica if you have any questions.

This meeting is very important to attend! This meeting will be about an hour long. The meeting will be about program expectations, summer and fall schedule, important To-Do’s, as well as course selection for those who may choose to participate in college athletics. 2022 Eighth Grade Promotion Information
-Promotion will be held Wednesday, May 25th, at 7:00 p.m. in the UTHS gym.
-8th graders who are being promoted are asked to arrive by 6:30 p.m. and report to the auditorium (across from the gym). Doors open at 6 p.m.
-Students who do not meet promotion requirements and need to attend summer school will not be participating in this event.
-Since there are no caps and gowns at this ceremony, students are asked to dress in appropriate attire for such an occasion. This is a very special night for your child and we look forward to honoring them for their achievements. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
-All 8th graders will not attend the last day of classes on Thursday, May 26th.
