Our latest Employee of the Month Award from the Rock Island Regional Office of Education goes to…….Ms Asya Fisher! Ms. Fisher is in her second year of teaching at the East Moline Early Learning Center, with several other years of experience in a smaller school district where she also taught early childhood. As a veteran educator, she truly embodies the ideal qualities of a dedicated and inspiring early childhood educator. The atmosphere in her classroom is consistently one of calm and joyful engagement, a direct reflection of her composed and relationship-centered approach. She has the ability to transform daily experiences into adventures, ensuring that hands-on learning is a celebration of exploration. Her commitment to the profession is evident in the confident, curious, and happy faces of her students, who thrive under her gentle and genuine demeanor. We are back at it with our ROE Employee of the Month Awards! We are so grateful for our partnership with the Rock Island Regional Office of Education to recognize outstanding educators here in our school. Ms. Vallejo is one of our first-year teachers at the East Moline Early Learning Center, but she is not new to the East Moline School District. Last year, she began her teaching career at Wells Elementary in 2nd grade after doing her student teaching with us at the Early Learning Center. BUT….her passion in early childhood called her back to us! Ms. Elena has a natural calming, yet enthusiastic approach that fosters engagement and playful curiosity in a way that is conducive to ALL learners. Ms. Elena intentionally infuses her love of reading into various learning centers in her classroom, planting seeds of long-term literacy at a crucial early age. She masterfully models a calm, regulated state for her students as they learn to manage their emotions. -TOMORROW, Friday, October 3rd is an EARLY DISMISSAL DAY. Glenview will dismiss at 10:55 am, elementary schools dismiss at 11:30 am, and there is No School for ELC. *The UTHS Homecoming Parade is tomorrow, October 3rd, beginning at 2:30 pm on Archer Drive, between UTHS and Soule Bowl.

We have had the wonderful opportunity to add a second Family Educator at the Early Learning Center. Please help us welcome Vjosa Beciri BACK to our school family! Vjosa is a valued member of the community, and previously worked with us as a paraprofessional back in our Wells days. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Vjosa back with us to work with students and families, and we are especially grateful to our community partners that made this opportunity possible!
