What an incredible week celebrating Read Across America! Our school was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed many special guest readers into our classrooms. It was truly a joy to see our students so engaged and enthusiastic about reading!

We are so grateful for the time and dedication of all our volunteers who helped make this week such a memorable one. Your passion for reading is contagious, and you have truly made a difference in the lives of our students.

Did you know that reading to children for just 20 minutes a day during their first five years can significantly improve their language and literacy skills, as well as their overall cognitive development?

We encourage all of our families to continue reading with your children every day! Happy reading! #EMSD37Pride #growingthroughPLAY #READon

As School Social Work Week comes to a close, we want to shine a bright light on our very own Ms. Hoffman!
A school is more than just classrooms—it’s a community. Whether Ms. Hoffman is advocating for students, supporting our staff, or navigating important work with our families, she does it all with compassion and care.

*For our Students: She is a fearless advocate who ensures every child feels seen and heard.

*For our Families: She builds bridges between home, school, and the community.

*For our Staff: She is a pillar of support and a reminder of the power of empathy and relationships.

Thank you, Ms. Hoffman for your dedication to equity, kindness, and the well-being of every individual who walks through our doors. We are so lucky to have you! 🧡 💜

It's the RIROE Employee of the Month Award! Ms. Silva is one of our valued instructional paraprofessionals at the East Moline Early Learning Center. Ms. Silva began her journey with us last year, and was a parent in our district prior to her employment with us. Recently, as we have navigated various challenges, Ms. Silva has been incredibly dependable, stepping in wherever she was needed without hesitation. She maintains a steady, patient presence with our students and is adaptable at handling any challenges that come her way. She is a team player who works hard to keep things running smoothly. She also strives to connect with students to form solid relationships, and is a trusted Safekeeper. Ms. Silva is an important part of our ELC School Family! #EMSD37Pride #growingthroughPLAY

✈️ Panther Passport: Adventures of Petey...Destination Mexico! 🇲🇽 Our world-traveling mascot is at it again! After his incredible trip to Egypt, Petey the Panther hitched a ride with our wonderful paraprofessional, Ms. Vicky, for a vibrant adventure in Mexico! From exploring historic landmarks to soaking up the beautiful culture, Petey had the time of his life representing our Little Panthers across the globe. He explored stunning architecture and colorful streets, learned about local traditions and history, and brought back stories to share with our students! #PeteyThePanther #TravelGoals #MascotOnTheMove #PantherPassport #EMSD37Pride #growingthroughPLAY https://youtu.be/ja3mpVx807Y?si=JywG5rsZC6UElypL

Calling all three and four year olds! We will be hosting Developmental Screenings in April and May, as we prepare for the 26-27 school year. Please reach out to our main office and schedule an appointment with Lindsay, if you would like your child to be considered for enrollment next school year. A screening IS required for all new students to determine eligibility for our programming. If your child is currently enrolled with us, a new screening is not required.
