Hello EMSD Families! All EMSD bus routes have finished transporting our students, and we are safely having a great first day of school. Thank you again to everyone for the flexibility and understanding as we had to make last-minute changes this morning. Schools will dismiss with our planned one-hour early dismissal. Glenview will dismiss at 1:30 p.m., and elementary schools at 2:00 p.m. A quick explanation of our decision-making: EMSD buses began their routes as early as 6:15 a.m. to transport students. As severe weather conditions developed, several buses traveling through the hardest-hit areas had to pause their routes for safety reasons. This pause created delays on subsequent bus routes. Additionally, we wanted to ensure no family felt pressured to compromise on safety to get their child to school on time. We understand these disruptions caused inconvenience for many families today. While safety will always be our top priority, we remain committed to minimizing disruptions whenever possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding today, and we look forward to a successful school year ahead in EMSD!

Due to weather, all bus routes have stopped. All EMSD schools will have a one hour late start and all bus routes will be delayed by one hour. If your child is already on the bus or at school at Glenview they are safe and have stopped in a safe location. Please take necessary actions for safety.

The Back 2 School Bash is TOMORROW, July 30th, from 3-6 pm at Hereford Park in East Moline. Don't miss out on a great time with games, food, school supplies, prizes, and much more! The main event will be a basketball game where Officers from the East Moline Police Department and community members team up to put on a show for the crowd!

For those needing assistance with registration, you may attend In-person Registration Assistance Day TOMORROW, Tuesday, July 28th, between 11 :00 am - 7:00 pm. Glenview and Ridgewood will register at the Administration Building; all other schools will have registration at the school.

Each family must provide TWO of the following documents showing a current District #37 address where the student resides to establish residency. Please bring these documents with you to in-person registration.
• Telephone bill (recent within 60 days)
• Cable bill (recent within 60 days)
• Gas/or Electric bill (recent within 60 days)
• Water bills (recent within 60 days)
• Lease
• Dated rent payment with address (recent within 60 days)
• Mortgage papers
• Homeowners insurance policy and premium payment.

Students must be registered by August 4th to start school on the first day, August 12th.
