Ms. Greene and Mrs. Richardson combined their kindergarten and second grade classes to work on an art projects together. They learned how to make masterpieces out of messes. Scribble art was huge hit. It was great to see all of the students talk to their new friends and work so hard on their projects.

🧠✨ Brain Smart Start in action! Our first graders kicked off our daily Morning Meeting by getting their brains and bodies ready to learn! Morning meetings help students feel safe, valued, and connected. Greeting one another and sharing builds trust and belonging, which is especially important for young learners. We are ready for the day! ❤️

The PTA meeting, originally scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed to next week, Tuesday, January 20th at 6pm.

Visit Octeen throughout January and order a Bobcat Bounce, and they will contribute $1 from every drink sale to the Bowlesburg PTA.

Today is the End of 2nd Quarter.

Mrs. Wynes and her grade 4 students had the opportunity this week to learn about Vincent van Gogh and his painting The Starry Night. Using the 6 step writing process, they then wrote about what they might wish for on a starry night. They are proud and we are too!

There is something incredibly magical about watching a room full of 3rd graders realize how big, and yet how small, our world really is. The 3rd grade classrooms transformed into a terminal for global explorers as we kicked off our Holidays Around the World research.

Congratulations to Mrs. Bristol and Mrs. Valle who will be graduating this weekend from Western Illinois University. We are so proud of you both and we know you will both move mountains!

Mrs. Smith's room is buzzing! ✨ These fourth graders are conquering fraction addition with the help of a trusty number line. Smart cookies! 🍪
