☀️ Sun, snacks, and a whole lot of smiles! ☀️ Our amazing 3rd graders celebrated the end of an incredible school year with a well-deserved field trip to the park for a picnic! 🧺🍉 From running around the playground to sharing treats on the blankets, the day was all about celebrating how much these kids have grown. They’ve tackled multiplication, mastered new reading goals, and built amazing friendships—conquering 3rd grade definitely calls for an afternoon of pure fun! 🏃‍♂️💨 Class Vibe Check: Energy levels were at 100%, juice box consumption was at an all-time high, and the laughter was absolutely contagious. A huge thank you to our wonderful parent chaperones and who made today’s adventure safe and successful. We are so incredibly proud of our 3rd-grade crew. ☀️ B-I-N-G-O and Syllables, too! ☀️
Yesterday was O Day in our ABC Countdown, and we took the learning Outside! 🌳

Some of our amazing 2nd graders soaked up the sun while sharpening their reading skills. We traded the classroom for the picnic tables and played a high-stakes game of Syllable Type Bingo!

Reviewing all 6 types of syllables, these superstars are mastering their phonics one square at a time. Who knew grammar could be this much fun in the fresh air?

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6th, is an early dismissal day. Glenview will dismiss at 10:55 am, and elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30 am. There will be no school for the Early Learning Center.

Congratulations to our April/May Employee of the Month Educators. Jeff Fairweather, Jennifer Greene, and Maggie Myroz will be retiring at the end of this school year and we thank them for their unwavering support. Steph Roselieb and Sarah Link will continue their journey at Bowlesburg next year and we thank them for the love and kindness they show each day to all of our learners.

EMSD's last day of school is Friday, May 29th. It is also an early dismissal day.

Today we celebrate our transportation staff. Thank you for all that you do and for getting our students to school safely each day! Happy National Bus Driver Day!!

🍦 Beach Blanket Day & Ice Cream Celebration! 🏖️ Our 3rd graders have officially wrapped up their IAR testing, and we couldn't be prouder of the focus and "grit" they showed all week! To celebrate their incredible hard work, we turned the blacktop into a tropical oasis for Beach Blanket Day! 🏝️✨ Students traded their desks for beach towels and enjoyed a well-deserved ice cream party! 🍨 From sprinkles to chocolate syrup, the toppings were flowing and the smiles were even bigger. Testing can be tough, but these scholars proved they are tougher! Way to go, 3rd Grade! This past Wednesday, our Bowlesburg Girls on the Run team joined forces with the Rock Island Girls on the Run team to take on the Panther Pant 5K at UTHS. Seeing these two amazing groups come together as one giant community of support was the highlight of the week!

Congratulations to all our runners! You didn't just run a race—you crushed it! 🏁💪
