Parent-Teacher Conferences are this Thursday and Friday. If you haven't already, please reach out to your student's teacher to schedule a conference.
🧸❤️ We had a special visitor in Mrs. Schoeve’s first grade classroom! Regan, who is also Miss Heart of Illinois, stopped by to teach our first graders all about pediatrics through a fun, hands-on Teddy Bear Clinic! 🩺🩹 Our little doctors got to learn about caring for patients, helping others, and what it’s like to work in the medical field. Thank you to Regan for spending time with us and making learning so fun! ❤️🐻
Mrs. DeFrieze’s class sits around a campfire every Friday to debrief about their week. This is a safe place for students to openly express what they are feeling as well as reflect on how things went.
They focused on 3 main questions last week.
-Who made you smile?
-Who made you feel included?
-What do you love about our class?
After students take turns discussing those answers, they are able to give a classmate an intentional shoutout. They shout out hard work, persistence, or even just being a kind friend.
Mrs. Defrieze has noticed a stronger classroom family after beginning their weekly classroom campfires! ⛺️🔥
