Thanks to Sanchia Sommers' initiative, students in the district will benefit from a $500 grant awarded by the National Defense Industrial Association, IA-IL Chapter. This funding will provide robotics and replacement parts for students in various classes across the district and clubs. The National Defense Industrial Association supports STEM education initiatives to build a strong future workforce. It streamlines the process of finding and accessing behavioral health services to help ensure that every child in Illinois can receive the support they need. Families can use BEACON to find services, get help navigating complicated systems, and connect with state programs.

This week the district provided a "Differentiating Learning" workshop led by literacy expert Lanesha Tabb. Teachers learned to personalize instruction, focusing on decoding and engagement. This professional development will lead to improved student reading outcomes.
